Guadalupe Garcia, a resident of Chamita passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2010 after a short illness. He loved working on the ranch & he loved the outdoors. He loved to go hunting & fishing. He was a devoted rancher and cattleman. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Guadalupe was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Servando and Tonita Garcia; granddaughter, Angel Duran; great-granddaughter, Angel Domenique. He is survived by his children: Tony Garcia and wife Christine of Las Vegas, NM, David Garcia and wife Ida of Chaparral, NM, Mary Ann Martinez and husband Orlando of Cuarteles, Linda Padilla and husband Arnold of Hernandez; grandchildren: Paul Garcia of Rio Rancho, Robert Garcia and wife Nuilena of Albuquerque, Adam Garcia and wife Marcy of Chamita, Rachel Araiza and husband Luis of Tucson, AZ, Sarah Ann Garcia of Las Cruces, John Ross Garcia of Chaparral, NM, Valorie Pereyra and husband René of Denver, Antoinette Martinez of Cuarteles, JulieAnne Herrera and husband Clarence of Hernandez; brothers and sisters: Tina Garcia of Chamita, Donna Martinez of Alcalde, Eloy Garcia and wife Sylvia of Chamita; great-grandchildren: Lexie Quintana, Anjelika Garcia, Anika Garcia, Evan Garcia, Marcus Garcia, Mario Garcia, Synthia Pereyra, Elyssa Pereyra, R.J. Pereyra, Hezekiah Herrera, Miracle Angel Herrera, Hope Herrera & numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to follow at Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde with the following serving as pallbearers: Orlando R. Martinez, John Ross Garcia, Clarence Herrera, Paul Garcia, Robert Garcia and Adam Garcia.
