Gloria L. - age 77 - Jemez Springs Clark

Gloria L. Clark, 76, a resident of Jemez Springs passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 5, 2014 surrounded by her loving family from a lengthy illness. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Clark; son, John Martinez; parents, Jose Enrique and Louisa Martinez; brothers, Fermin and Gerald Martinez; and sister, Eva Cata. Mrs. Clark was previously active within the VFW women’s auxiliary and Americans legions. She was very active in the community of Jemez Springs. She loved spending time with her family and friends, she will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Gloria is survived by her children, Valerie Sanchez and husband Jerome, Randy Martinez, Debra Martinez and husband Marty and Darren “Moonie” Martinez; step-son, Brian Clark and wife Sheri; brothers, Joe E. Martinez and wife Marie, Joe O. Martinez and wife Eloida, Chris Martinez, Rudy J. Martinez and wife Irene; sisters, Lorraine Martinez, Clorinda Mascareñas and husband David, Henrietta Hardin and Alice Gallegos; grandchildren, Jerome Sanchez and companion Savannah Salazar, Virginia Sanchez and companion Sergio Herrera, Joshua Martinez and wife Thelma, Erica Martinez, Danika Martinez, Sarah Gonzales, Martin Gonzales, John Martinez and Janet Martinez; great-grandchildren, Elijah Sanchez, and Julian Martinez, step-grandchildren, Phaedra and Eli Clark, close extended family, Lorna Martinez, Elvia Hernandez, and Myra Martinez; her beloved dogs, cocoa, rocky, and baby, and numerous other loving nieces, nephews relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a burial to follow at the San Rafael cemetery in El Guique. The family of Gloria L. Clark has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
