GLORIA ANNA VERONICA VIGIL, 53, born and raised in Chama, currently resided in Albuquerque, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 28, 2016. She was a very wonderful wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend. Mrs. Vigil is survived by her husband of 36 years, Archie J. Vigil; daughters, Corina (Lawrence), Christa (Ben) and Angel; mother, Dorothy Gallegos; sisters, Patsy (Gene), Maryann (Ricky) Cyndi (Felipe), Valerie (Lefer); brother, Tone Gallegos (Andrea); brother-in-law, Johnny Vigil; grandchildren, Aubryannah, A.J., Lawrence, Jr., Isaac, Carlos, Martina, Tristan and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Domingo Gallegos; nieces, Bryanna and Bryonny Gallegos; Aunts, Ramoncita Martinez, Angie Bateman and Theresa Lucero; in-laws, Tony (Chepa) and Adonaida Vigil; brothers-in-law, Tony and Toby Vigil. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A rosary to be recited on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chama. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. also at the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chama. Serving the family as pallbearers, Peggy Montaño, Ron Russom, Joe Madrid, Tommy Ray Rivas, Benito Lujan and Lawrence Barreras.
