Glenn V. Archuleta, 47, passed away after a short illness on Friday, May 24, 2024. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Glenn, born on June 1, 1976, was a native of Santa Cruz, NM, and worked as a Security Police Officer for LANL. He enjoyed being in the mountains, camping, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Glenn's departure has left a void in all of our hearts. He was a proud father to his only son, Jaylen, whom he raised and loved unconditionally. Glenn had a special relationship with his parents and cared for his mother during his last five years, showing his deep love for them. Glenn met Christine a little over forty years ago where they both grew up together, time brought them to each other later in life but she was the love of his life and no words could ever express how much they cared for each other. He formed strong bonds with his family and friends, especially with his cousins, and his absence will be deeply felt by all.
Glenn was preceded in death by his father Hilbert Archuleta; paternal grandparents Pedro and Beatrice Archuleta, maternal grandparents Gregorio and Honorata Mondragon; Nina Charlene Martinez; aunts Loretta Montoya, Rose Martinez, Antonia Quintana, and Roberta (Aurora) Mondragon; uncles Joe Lopez, Jimmy Lovato, Juan Quintana, and Ross Martinez; and cousins Amanda Archuleta, Cassius West, Ricky Martinez, Gabriel Duran, and Razelle Velez.
He is survived by his wife Christine; son Jaylen; stepchildren Amber, Brandon, and Anjelica; Christian, whom he treated like a son; mother Lucinda; sister Cindy; special niece Kassandra, and her son Matthew Ray, as well as his other nieces/nephews Amada, Alejandro, and Azalea; father-in-law Rusty Guillen; mother-in-law Sue Guillen; brother-in-law Charles Guillen; aunts/uncles Gabriel (Helen) Mondragon, Celerino (Marjorie) Archuleta, Marie Lopez, Gladys (John) Archuleta, Peter (Pearl) Archuleta, Fred (Jeanette) Archuleta, Marylin (Victor) Baca, Isadora (Steve) Archuleta, and Joseph Montoya; Padrino Louie (Carol) Martinez; Cousins James Archuleta, Yvonne Trujillo, Yvette West, Annamarie Gomez, Jay Derby, Bridget and Peter (Pancho) Archuleta, Dominic Martínez, Ana Louise Palacio, Albinita Romero, Francisco Archuleta, Reynetta Ben-Atar, Víctor Lee and Dorette Baca, Raquel Lovato, Chuck, and Greg Mondragón, Fabián and Lenora Quintana, Johnny, Ray, Christina Montoya, Sarah Archuleta, Phil Martinez, Bobi Duran and all their spouses; along with numerous other loving family and friends.
Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM, with a Rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial, will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at 11:00 am, at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada, with burial to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery.
Serving the family as Pallbearers will be Charles Guillen, Peter (Pancho) Archuleta, Francisco Archuleta, Ray Montoya, Brian Maestas, and Leandro Gallegos. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaylen, Amber, Brandon, Anjelica,Christian, Kassandra, Amada, Alejandro and Azalea.
