Gina Montoya-Martinez

GINA MONTOYA-MARTINEZ, 36, a resident of Chimayo, passed away of a short illness on Friday, September 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mabel Vigil; brother, Julian Montoya; maternal grandmother, Rosario Vigil; cousin, Linda DeAguero; paternal grandmother, Josie Montoya. Gina loved animals especially her dogs, Hershey and Tootsie. She was a great cook. Gina was a very independent woman despite her disability. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Gina is survived by her husband, Michael M. Martinez Jr.; in-laws, Michael Sr. and Sandra Martinez; father, Ray Montoya; brother, Peter Garduño; uncle, Cippy Montoya; step-children, Michael Martinez III, Christopher Martinez and Angelica Martinez; step-granddaughter, Nevaeh Martinez, sister-in-law, Michelle Martinez (Paul Trujillo); aunt, Mary Ann Deaguero, Dolores Vigil, Nancy Lovato, Irene Vigil, and Dorothy Martinez, uncle, Damian Vigil, plus several nephews, nieces relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with a burial to follow at the Cordova Catholic Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers Sammy Vigil, Dolores Salazar, Calvin Quintana, Matthew Sandoval, Chris Martinez, and Peter Garduño.
