GILBERTO "WATSON" MARTINEZ, 66, a resident of Chimayo, born on December 28,  1949 and passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016 following a brief illness. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olga P. Martinez; daughter, Donna; son, Anthony; parents, Antonio and Gregoria Martinez; brothers, Louie and Gerson; sister, Lorraine; in-laws, Andres and Anita Padilla. Mr. Martinez is survived by his children, Gilbert, Jr. (Diane), Joshua (Robyn), Nathan and Carolynn Trujillo (Eric M.); sisters, Orlinda and Lucrecia Martinez; grandchildren, Derick Ludi, Raelyne, MeLinda and Andrew; great-grandchildren, Jose and Zuriah; special sisters-in-law, Clorinda Ludi (Louie) and Gloria Padilla; brothers-in-law, Ricardo Padilla (Christina) Paul Padilla (Mayble); very close nephews, Johnny and Andrea and family and Jesse and Elena and family and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, April 1, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday April, 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Burial to follow at the Nuestra Señora de Dolores Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Johnny, Jesse and Joshua Martinez, Derick Ludi, and Edward and Rupert Padilla.
