Gilbert Garcia

Gilbert “Gibo” Garcia, 53, a resident of Chimayo, born September 13, 1961, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Garcia Sr.; brothers, Calvin “Polo” Garcia and Ernesto “Ernie” Garcia; maternal grandparents, Libby and Leo Jaramillo, and paternal grandfather, Ismael Garcia Sr. He was a beloved companion, son, father, brother and friend. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family. Gilbert is survived by his son, Marine Staff Sergeant Anthony G. Garcia; granddaughter, Allayna Garcia; Gilberts companion, Concha Montoya; mother, Grace Garcia; grandmother, Rosa Garcia; brothers, Steven (Roberta), Horacio (Cassie) and Dennis Garcia all of Chimayo, sister, Gina and Marvyn Jaramillo of La Madera and many close nieces, nephews and other close relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo, with the following serving the family as pallbearers are Steven Garcia Jr., Nicholas Garcia, Marvyn Jaramillo, and Anthony Gordon, honorary pallbearers named Steven Garcia Sr., Horacio Garcia, Dennis Garcia, Gina Jaramillo, and Anthony Garcia.
