Gilbert Bustos

\r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n GILBERT “GILLIE” BUSTOS, 66, a resident of Santa Cruz, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esequiel and Josie Bustos. Gillie was born in Leadville, CO. He was employed as a custodian for Los Niños School in Española for 16 years. Mr. Bustos is survived by his wife, Bita Bustos; sons, Kenny and Norman Bustos; granddaughter, Kalie Bustos all of Hawthorne, CA; brothers and sisters, Olivama Graham and husband Fred of Española, Danny Bustos and wife Rella of Tucson, Arizona, Leroy Bustos and wife Peggy of Albuquerque, Thelma Murphy and husband John of Santa Fe, Isabel Hodge of Española, Phillip Bustos of Ranchitos, Gene Bustos and wife Kamala of Albuquerque; padrino, Andres Salazar of El Llano; madrina, Margaret Salazar of Chamita and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, March 26, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Santa Cruz with the following serving as pallbearers, Johnny Vigil, Eloy “Gramps” Roybal, Andres Martinez Jr., Gerald Montoya, Ernest Leyba, Alex Gallegos and George Martinez. Honorary pallbearers named are, Margaret Sisneros, Mary Kay Maestas, Dolly Naranjo, Emily Salazar, Pita Salazar and Linda Martinez. The Bustos family has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. \r\n
