Geraldine J. - Age 66 - Coyote Serrano

Geraldine J. Serrano, 66, formerly of Coyote, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully at home, and went to be with our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ and her beloved husband on Thursday, January 15, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arsenio Serrano of 49 years; her parents, Pablo and Olivia Romero; brothers, James Romero and Paul Baca, sister, Pauline Mendoza; and grandmother, Nora Espinoza. She is survived by her children, Dora (Chad) Guenther, Nora (Larry) Baca, Diego and Juan Serrano; brothers-in- law, Tony (Vickie) Serrano, Manuel (Trudy Chacon) Serrano and Armando Serrano; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters, Dorothy (George) Ortega of Mesa de Poleo, Gilbert (Evey) Romero of Spark Nevada, Augustine (Kahli) Herrera of Mount View Minnesota, Anthony Herrera of Alanta Georgia, Gloria (Denard) Stewart, Floyd Ortega, and Richard Romero all of Phoenix Arizona; nephews, nieces, cousins, and many loving relatives and friends. Her favorite pastime was working on crossword puzzles. She also loved to watch game shows on TV, her programs were WWE and Smack Down. Geraldine had a very kind, loving, and giving heart. She had a very witty personality that made people laugh, she loved to joke around with people. She will be missed by all her family and friends. We were truly blessed to have her in our lives for as long as we did. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at San Juan Bautista Church in Coyote with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. also at the San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Coyote. Burial to follow at the Coyote Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Wayne, Jr. and A.J. Velasquez, Robert and Alex Baca, and Nathaniel Velasquez and Marvin Trujillo. Honorary pallbearers will be the remaining grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family of Geraldine J. Serrano has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
