Geraldine Gonzales-Jacques

GERALDINE R. GONZALES-JACQUES, 65, a resident of La Mesilla, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016 of a sudden illness. Geraldine was preceded in death by her father, Celedon A. Gonzales, mother, Lola O. Ortiz Gonzales of El Rancho, Joaquin Ortiz and Clorinda Ortiz of Nambe; daughter-in-law, Evelyn Jacquez. Geri was a retired employee of Los Alamos National Laboratory as a painter, Geri was a perfectionist when it came to painting. Geraldine’s hobbies were all her pets and discovered a new love for baking. Geraldine is survived by her husband Bernie Jacques; daughters, Jessica A. Fresquez (Jacob Sr.) and Naidene Martinez (Jake) both of Española, sons, Angelo Jacques and Gene Jacquez; granddaughters, Jirina Fresquez of Espanola, Hayley Jacques of Las Cruses, and Claire Jacques of Milw. WI, grandsons, Jacob Fresquez of Española and Josh Jacquez of Albuquerque; brothers, Leroy T. Gonzales (Janice Sanchez), Don A. Gonzales (Pauline), and Joseph R. Gonzales, sister, Joyce E. Gonzales C De Baca (Don), Karen A. Burkhiemur, Sandy L. Garinger (Neil), Diane Gonzales all of Española,  nieces, Tammy Gonzales, Sharon Gonzales, Janelle Gonzales, Arian M. Ludi, Lola Lee Ludi, Amanda Lujan, Tiffany Gonzales, Kiwi, Lee Lee Olivas, Bonita Burkhiemur, nephews, Matthew J. Gonzales, Gene Gonzales, Keith E. Ludi, Isiah Lujan, David Maldonado all of Española. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 4:30-5:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Serving the family as pallbearers, Josh Jacquez, Joseph R. Gonzales, Leroy T. Gonzales, Don Gonzales and Jeremy Lujan, Gene Gonzales, honorary pallbearers,  Jake Martinez , Jeremy Lujan, Angelo Jacquez and Gene Jacquez. The family of Geraldine R.
