Gerald Trujillo

Gerald F. Trujillo, 51, a lifelong resident of Pojoaque, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2015.  He was preceded in death by parents, Manuel and Ernestina Trujillo; nephew, Robert D. Trujillo Jr., and close cousin, Vincent Garcia. Gerald was a generous hard working loving father, grandfather, brother and friend. His pride and joy was his children and grandchildren. He was employed as a manager of Hacienda Home Center and True Value for many years and also worked at Pojoaque Pueblo, Jemez Electric, and San Ildefonso. His hobbies included camping, fishing, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends. Gerald is survived by son, Christopher Trujillo; daughter Natalie Green and husband, Stephen; grandchildren, Roslynn and Simon Green; siblings, Robert D. Trujillo and wife Janet and Ida Viarreal and husband Kenneth; nephews, David Viarreal, Derek Trujillo, James Viarreal, niece, Amber Trujillo; mother of his children, Maria De La Torre-Garcia and husband Sam Garcia and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. The Family wishes to thank his friends, Joseph Lopez, Kenny Trujillo, Pat Serna and many other friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nambe, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at the Nambe Cemetery in Nambe. Donations in memoriam to Southern New Mexico Diabetes Outreach snmdo.org. can be made in lieu of flowers. The family of Gerald F. Trujillo has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
