George Lujan

George R. Lujan, 77, of Jaconita, NM, was called by our Lord on February 1, 2024. George was born October 6, 1946.

George is preceded in death by his parents Ruben and Josefina Lujan; father and mother-in-law Serapio and Julia Anaya; sister Amelia Bustos (Horace); brothers Delfino Lujan, Eugenio Lujan, Michael Lujan, and Alfred Lujan (Ruth); brothers-in-law Rudy Anaya and Jimmy Lujan. 

George is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Velma Lujan, son Glen Lujan and granddaughter LeeAna Lujan; sister Cecila Lujan; sisters-in-Law Tina Lujan, Shirley Lujan, Lorraine Lujan, Edna Anaya, Jeanna Anaya (Arthur Houston) and Sylvia Montoya (Fred); brothers-in-Law Billy Anaya (Marie), Michael Anaya (Louise), Alex Anaya and Daniel Anaya; along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

George retired from the Local Painter’s Union 823 after 30 years. 

He was a parishioner of Nuestra Senora De Guadalupe del Valle de Pojoaque. He served as a mayordomo at San Antonio de Padua in El Rancho. He loved telling jokes and giving us all a hard time. He will be greatly missed. 

A rosary will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at the San Antonio de Padua Church in El Rancho, NM. A Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m.
