GENEVIEVE T. SUAZO, 82, a resident of Santa Clara Pueblo, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Suazo; grandson, Mario; parents, Damacio and Patricino Tafoya; in-laws, Florencio and Clara Suazo; sisters, Victoria Dasheno (Teofilo), Abelina Tafoya (Juan. P), Carolyn Tafoya, and Christine Montoya (Nestor); brothers, Dale Tafoya, Ignacio Naranjo (Margaret), and Louis Naranjo; brothers-in-law, Robert Lyon, and Robert and Alfred Suazo (Lila); aunt, Mary Naranjo; and nephew, Calvin Tafoya. Mrs. Suazo is survived by her children, Norma Aguilar (Greg), Andy, Lena, and Stephen Suazo, Sr.; sister, Marie Lyon and grandchildren, Donovan and Kateri Aguilar, Jerome Mazur, Cassandra Concho, Isaiah, Isaac, Genevieve, Shania, Damacio, Stephen, Jr., and Mercedes Suazo; great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Destiny Aguilar, Xavier, Serenity and Kaylynn Suazo, Nevaeh Aguilar, Desinayah Pacheco, Henry and Caleb Suazo, and Jayden and Lillianna Mazur and numerous other brothers and sister-in-laws, relatives and friends. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 9:00 am at the Santa Clara Pueblo Catholic Church. Burial was held at the Santa Clara Pueblo Cemetery.
