GENEVA SALAZAR, 63, a resident of Santa Cruz, passed away on Friday, May 17, 2019 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Emeteria Salazar; brother, Tony Salazar; sister, Dolores Gonzales; grandfather, Edwardo Salazar; grandmother, Octavanita Naranjo and nephew, Bobby (B.J.) Baros. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and sister. She always spoke kind words of others and enjoyed making quilts and doing her word search puzzles. She enjoyed going to bingo and being at all her family functions. She had a great sense of humor, always making everyone laugh. She worked and retired from the Conoco Gas Station in Pojoaque after 25 years as the manager. She will be greatly missed by all. Ms. Salazar is survived by her children, Amy Salazar of Santa Cruz, Amanda Trujillo and husband Gilbert of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Ashley Salazar of Albuquerque, Alexis Tabbot of Colorado, Susie Trujillo of Santa Fe; great-grandson, Koda of Albuquerque; sisters, Celsa Romero (Danny) of Phoenix, Theresa Baros (Bobby) of Santa Cruz; brothers, Ruben Salazar (Maria) of Santa Cruz, Ray Salazar (Anita) of La Mesilla, Carlos Salazar of Los Alamos; great-nephew, Isaiah Gonzales whom she adored and numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Truth Ministries Calvary Church in Arroyo Seco with Pastor Dion Cordova officiating.
