Gary Joseph Age - 52 - Española Valerio

Gary Joseph Valerio, age 52, of Espanola, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 21, 2012. Born on February 12, 1960, he was an accomplished artist and auto-body technician – but most of all, he loved to play his guitar.\r\nHe was preceded in death by his father and mother, Maximiano Isidro Valerio and Evangeline Marie Valerio; maternal grandparents, Felix and Rita Serna; paternal grandparents, Frutoso and Tonita Valerio; and his infant son, Gary Valerio Jr.\r\nHe is survived by his only sister, Nanette Valerio and her husband Louis; nieces, Nicole and Danielle Bustos; an aunt and uncle that he was very close to, Debra Borrego and her husband Pat and daughter Elisa; Sammie Serna and his wife Annie and their family; and numerous relatives from both sides of the Serna and Valerio families. We all loved him dearly and he will be deeply missed. Public visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2012 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a wake to follow at 6:00 p.m. The family of Gary Joseph Valerio have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. 505-747-7477
