Gary Weber, born in Aberdeen, South Dakota in 1942, was raised in St. Michael, MN. He passed away November 6, 2016. His first 35 years were spent in Minnesota. From 1975 to 2012, he lived in Espanola Valley, New Mexico and worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory. He moved back to Minnesota and resided in Waverly and Buffalo from 2012 to 2016 and had recently moved back to Rio Rancho, NM.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Police Science from the University of Louisville in 1975, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the College of Santa Fe in 1999. He retired from the Los Alamos National Laboratory in 2002. In 2003, he retired from the Army National Guard with more than 24 years of service, earning the Highest New Mexico medal award, The New Mexico Medal of Merit. Gary was always busy, working full time while attending college, and he was continuously involved in military service on a part-time basis. Most of his career was in the areas of municipal policing and security.
He leaves behind his adoring and loving wife, Marifrances; daughter, Heather Meehan and husband, Brad of Minneapolis; step-son, Robert Trujillo and wife, Monica of Albuquerque; step-daughters, Meggan Hudson and husband, Adam and Bailey Fedors; brothers, Martin J. Weber and wife, Diane, of Minnesota, Gordon Weber and wife, Andrea, of Minnesota and Ronald Weber and wife, Barbara, of Texas. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Caleb, Hannah, Aliyah and Dylan; sister-in-law, Cathy Martinez and Doris Padilla; brother-in-law, Martin Martinez; and mother-in-law, Maggie Kelly. He is preceded in death by Evelyn, his loving wife of 33 years; his mother, Ethel; his father, Earl J., and his brother, Donald.
He will be laid to rest next to his wife, Evelyn, at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at FRENCH – Rio Rancho in the Desert View Chapel.
