GABRIEL PAUL SALAZAR, 39, went to be with our Lord on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Gabriel with his charismatic personality and contagious smile will be missed by all who knew him. His children were the light of his life; he loved his family and friends with all of his heart. Gabriel had a way of making each and every person feel special and apart of him. Gabriel loved his work at Christus St. Vincent Hospital, where he continued to extend his family and touch the lives of many. Gabriel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Merejildo and Carlota Salazar and Isidore and Estefaneta Ortega and son, Devyn Paul. Mr. Salazar is survived by his parents, Ernest and Marcella; daughters, Breanna, Jaelyn and Jazmyn; son, Dominic; granddaughter, Aubyree; brothers, Ernie, Jr. and Jesse; sister, Tina and many loving nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.
