\r\nFred passed away on January 21, 2015. He was a resident of La Puebla, NM since 1981. He was born in Pittsfield, Ma. in 1931 to parents Harwood and Lauretta Moore, now deceased. He lived in Williamstown, Ma. until he moved to New Mexico. He graduated from Williston Academy, Easthampton, Ma. in 1949. He attended Nichols Junior College in Dudley, Ma. until he joined the 103rd Fighter Wing of the Ct. Air National Guard at Bradley Field in 1951. He became disabled while in the service and was discharged in 1952. He returned to Williamstown, Ma. and started his own excavating company and later added heating oil delivery to it.\r\nIn 1953, he married the former Gertrude Dumouchel. They had three sons. From 1975 to 1980 he had a logging business in partnership with his son Tim in Williamstown Ma. In 1981, he moved to New Mexico with his wife and youngest son William. W.H.Moore Cash Lumber was formed in 1981 in Hernandez which is now owned and operated by William. Fred is survived by his wife Gertrude of La Puebla, NM and their three sons: Thomas J. Moore and wife Jenny of Houston, Texas with grandchildren Laura and husband Christopher Dols, and Eddie and wife Brittany of Dallas, Texas; Timothy O.Moore and wife Maureen with grandchildren Tony and his wife Michaela and great-grandchildren John and Isabella, all of North Adams, Ma., and John and his wife Katie and great-granddaughter Addison of Elmira, N.Y. and Marla and her husband Max Gruner and great-grandson Anthony of Kingston, NY; William H. Moore and wife Margie with grandchildren Andrea and great-granddaughter Kyla of Hernandez, NM and Elizabeth of Albuquerque, NM. Fred is also survived by his sister Nancy M. Gehman of Santa Fe, NM. and her children, his sister-in-law Claire Bosse and her husband Aurele with their children of Lewiston, Me., his brother-in law Paul Dumouchel and his wife Mary and his children of Wellesley, Ma., and his brother-in-law Robert Dumouchel and his wife Mary of Nassau, Bahamas and his children. Fred was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the Amputee Veterans Association of America, Inc., the National Rifle Association, the American Legion, the American Motorcycle Association, the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, and the American Truck Historical Society. Fred had a lifetime interest in motorcycles and old trucks. He had a deep love for animals especially his dogs which predeceased him. Contributions in his memory can be made to The Heart and Soul Animal Sanctuary, 369 Montezuma Ave., #130, Santa Fe, NM 87501-2626. \r\nCremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of his life on Friday, January 30, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory
