Fred D. Lopez – Age 40 a resident of Española passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2010 unexpectedly. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Jose Adan and Regina Lopez; paternal grandparents: Ricardo and Emilia Manzanarez; and uncle, Jose Adan Lopez, Jr. Fred was a great dad to his kids. He was a happy go lucky person all the time. He was always funny and a big joker. He was a big fan of the Eagles. He is survived by his parents: Alfonso and Connie Manzanares of Española; father, Cipriano Vigil and wife Susana of El Rito; fiancé, Shanda Valerio; his sons: Nehemiah and Fabian Lopez; daughters: Francina Valerio and Ali Garcia; Godson to be, Russel Sandoval, Jr.; sisters: Christine and husband Vinnie Romero, Annette Chacon, and Fela and husband Alex Piñon; brothers: Adrian and wife Veronica Lopez, Donald Manzanarez and girlfriend Jessica Martinez, Cipriano, Jr. and wife Kimberly Vigil and Louie Tafoya; In-laws: Danny and Yvonne Sandoval-Tidwell; paternal grandmother, Kate Vasquez; and grandmother-in-law, Ernestine Martinez; and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Cemetery in Española with the following serving as pallbearers: Danny Sandoval, Jr., Adrian Lopez, Jr., Fred Romero, Gerald Chacon, Arturo Torrez and Isaac Chacon.
