Frank E. - Age 86 - Los Luceros Chavez -

FRANK E. CHAVEZ, 86, a resident of Los Luceros, went to be with our dear Lord on Saturday, November 16, 2013. He died peacefully at his home. Mr. Chavez is survived by his loving wife, Flores Chavez; daughters, Eppie (Gary), Antonette (Johnny), and Francine (Joe); also survived by, LoriAnn Martinez, Diane Bustos and Gilbert Valdez; grandchildren, Angelique (Randy), Amanda, Jessica; Rick (Nadine), Mariah; Nicole (Phat), Joshua; Brandon (Nicole), Jody (Chiara), and JaymeLee; great-grandchildren, Dominique, Destiny, Derrick, Jayden, Alexis, Lennox, Brynn, and Sofia; brothers and sisters, Julian Chavez (Lupita), Theresa Sanchez, Beatrice Abeyta (Leonard), Claudia Pallett (Joe) and lots of loving nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Frank was the proud owner of the Chavez Paint and Body Shop in Los Luceros. He enjoyed painting and working on numerous vehicles; as well as being a mechanic. Frank also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and going on picnics. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was well known throughout the community. Frank was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald R. Chavez; parents, Frank and Frances Chavez; and mother and father in-law, Adela and Celedonio Martinez. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde. Burial to follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Rick, Randy, Brandon, Jody, Joshua and Phat. Serving as honorary pallbearers: Angelique, Amanda, Jessica, Nadine, Mariah, Alexis, Nicole, JaymeLee, Chiara, Nicole, Andrew, and Kyle. The family of Frank E. Chavez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
