FRANCESQUITA “KIKA” CHAVEZ, 86, a resident of Los Ojos, passed away of natural causes on Thursday, November 12, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leandro Chavez; parents and siblings. Francesquita is survived by her children, Ernesto (Marianne) Chavez of Los Ojos, Fernando (Elaine) Chavez of Los Ojos, Chon Chavez of La Madera, Leo Chavez of Los Ojos, Rita Martinez and husband Frank Zwiener of Aztec, Cecelia (Joey) Garcia of Chama; grandson raised like her own, Ramon Trujillo of Servilleta; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; God-daughter, Ernestina (Ted) Garcia of Española; sister-in-law, Esther (Bernie) Velasquez of Arroyo Seco and Sofia Archuleta of Farmington, numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos, with a burial to follow at the San Jose Cemetery in Los Ojos. Serving the family as pallbearers Dennis Chavez, Juan Martinez, Ramon Trujillo, Nathaniel Chavez, Alan Martinez and Cody Garcia, honorary pallbearers The rest of her grandkids and great grandkids.
