Frances M. - Age 88 - Los Pachecos Martinez

Frances M. Martinez, 88, a lifelong resident of Los Pachecos, was carried to God in the early morning hours of Sept. 4 by her beloved Guardian Angel. Frances drove a school bus for the Espanola Schools for 28 years. For most of her adult life she took great pride in caring for her beloved St. Anne's Catholic Church in Los Pachecos, always making sure it was ready for any occasion. She also helped care for St. Johns in the Ohkay Owingeh Pueblo. For many years she was a member of the Rondalla choir, coordinating music for mass and other choir events. Above all, her pride and joy was her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Camilo & Trinidad Medina, brother Edward Medina & Wife Aurora, sister Josephine Medina & husband Pete, sister Irene Silva & husband Benito, mother-in-law Sylviana Medina, fathers in law Antonio Medina & Juan Estevan Martinez, daughter-in-law Martha Mae Martinez, grandson Miguel Camilo Martinez, brother-in-law Juan E. Martinez, sister-in-law Sofia Diaz and husband Pete. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joe F. Martinez; son Michael & wife Judy, son James & partner Walter Nolting; grandson, raised as a son, Miguel & wife Janell; grandson Joe & wife Kris, granddaughter Juliette & fiancée Jason; great grandchildren: Brandon, Bryson, Megan, Ethan & Angelica; two sisters Lizzie Medina & Anita Martinez, brother Camilo E. Medina, Jr. brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nephews & nieces near and dear to her heart. Carrying Frances to her final resting place will be: Roger Martinez, David Martinez, Paul Martinez, Walter Medina, Arsenio Gutierrez and Joe Martinez; and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, September 6, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Los Pachecos with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 11:30 a.m. at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Los Pachecos. Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Frances M.
