Frances Age - 88 - Chili Archuleta

Frances Archuleta, 88, a resident of Chili passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2012. Frances attended and graduated from El Rito Normal School and attended Nursing School. She worked at Española Hospital for 17 years and then worked for several years for Dr. Merle Yordy. Frances loved her husband and their only son & grandchildren with all her heart. She was preceded in death by her son James E. Archuleta on January 19, 2012; parents, Santiago and Maria Roybal; brother, Santiago Roybal, Jr.; nephew, Marcos Roybal; aunts: Maria Alire, Adeliria Roybal; in-laws, Antonio and Marcellina Archuleta; brothers-in-law: Vicente Roybal and wife Romancita, Paulino and wife Margaret, Antonio Atenio and wife Susana, Felipe and Baltazar Archuleta; sister-in-law, Lydia Archuleta. Frances is survived by her husband Jose E. Archuleta of 54 years; sister-in-law, Florence Roybal; grandchildren: Jordan, Jackie, Jesse, Janae and James Jr. Archuleta; 4 great-grandchildren; in-laws: Odelia Baker and Julia Casados of Española, David Archuleta of Cebolla, Mike Archuleta and wife Teddie of Rio Chama, Florentina Archuleta of Albuquerque, Shirley Archuleta of Tierra Amarilla; very close special friend, Ruth Dunn of Española. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a devotional to follow at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley View United Methodist Church with interment to take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:15 p.m. with the following serving as pallbearers: Reyes Salazar, Jason Roybal, Paul Archuleta, Vivian Lopez, Emilio DeVargas, Paul and Ronnie Martinez.
