FRANCES L. ARANDA, 85, was born November 21, 1928 in Embudo, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2013. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, David L. Guillen; parents, Perfecto and Maria F. Maes; sisters, Geneva Lucero and Ida Salazar and father of her children, Tranquilino Guillen. Mrs. Aranda is survived by her husband of 40 years, Victor H. Aranda of Embudo; children, Patricia Martinez and companion Glen Herrera of Española, John (Mike) Guillen of Española, Carl Guillen and companion Josie of Springfield, MO, Rick Guillen and wife Roberta of Ilfeld and Frank Guillen and wife Nancy of California; brothers and sister, Aaron Maes and wife Tona, Daniel Maes and wife Rose all of Embudo and Nora V. Maes of Española; brother-in-law, Joe U. Salazar of Embudo; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dixon with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Dixon with Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at the Father Cooper Cemetery in Embudo with the following serving as pallbearers, John Michael Guillen, Jeremy J. Martinez, Dustin Guillen, Enrique Guillen, Anita Guillen and Nichole Guillen. Honorary pallbearers named are, Dillon Guillen, David Guillen, O’Ryan Guillen and Melanie Guillen. The family of Frances L. Aranda has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
