Floy Marie Age - 70 - Truchas Medart

Floy Marie Medart, 70, a resident of Truchas, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2012. Floy was a loving mother, daughter, sister and wife. She was a caring individual that was willing to give a helping hand to anyone in need. Floy was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Rev. Ralph Medart; parents, Remeijo and Adelia Torrez of Cordova; brother, Paul Torrez of Cordova. Floy is survived by her children: Billy Medart and wife Pauline of Truchas, Joyce Romero of Santa Fe, Della Medart of Truchas, Genita Medart and husband Tom Garcia of San Ildefonso, Linda Medart and fiancé Daniel Chavez of Albuquerque, Marsha Medart and companion Tino Edwell of Albuquerque; grandchildren: Billy Joe and Kevin Medart, Stephen, Amery and Britney Romero, Michael, Steven and Anthony Garcia, Daniel, Samuel and Emma Chavez; great-grandchildren: Adrian and Jade Medart, Ryan Romero, Elijah, Jayden and Katie Garcia. Floy was loved by all her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and many friends. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with burial to follow at Los Llanitos Cemetery in Truchas with the following serving as pallbearers: Billy Joe Medart, Kevin Medart, Stephen, Britny and Amery Romero and Michael Garcia. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Steven and Anthony Garcia and Daniel Chavez.
