Floyd Montoya, 68, a resident of Cordova passed away with his loving family by his side on Monday, June 10, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Montoya; nephews: Troy Romero and Dean Salazar. Mr. Montoya was well known for his passion of cars. His most prized possession was his 52 Chevy Fleetline which he cruised throughout the state, always wearing one of his many different hats. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Mr. Montoya is survived by his daughter, Verna Romero and husband Ted and their children Jared and Andrea Romero all of Denver, CO; daughter, Sandra Montoya and her son, Andrew Sifuentes both of Albuquerque, NM; mother, Elvira Montoya of Cordova; sisters: Lulu Thompson and husband Clark of Los Alamos, Lita Mathews and husband Derek of Albuquerque, Rachael Olivas of Lyden, Madden Espinosa and husband Edward of Ft. Smith, AR, Yolanda Ginsberg and husband Pruett of White Rock, Edith Sanchez and companion Mark Herman of Albuquerque; brother, Ernie Montoya of Cordova; numerous nephews, nieces, and other loving relatives & friends. Memorial service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. The family of Floyd Montoya have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
