Floyd was born on October 13, 1960 in Embudo, New Mexico to two loving parents, John and Emma Martinez. His faith foundation began in his hometown of Dixon, New Mexico at St. Anthony Catholic Church. He grew up in a small community rich in faith with his sister, Dilia and brother, Elias. Floyd graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering. He moved to Dallas, Texas where he met and married his wife, Terrie. Together they welcomed three children into the world: daughters, Julia and Emilia, and son, David. To say his family was his pride and joy is an understatement. Some people might have thought he was a quiet man, but those who knew him knew he was a sincere friend. The conversations he had with people left you feeling loved while laughing.
