Floyd Garcia

FLOYD “PINK FLOYD” GARCIA , 61, a resident of Española, passed away unexpectedly on December 24, 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, Filiberto and Stella Garcia and sister, Carmen Garcia. Floyd was a simple, down to earth man. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as going to on many outing with his beloved dog. He also enjoyed spending quality time with his grandchildren, family and a few special childhood friends he had in his life. He enjoyed photography and working behind the scenes in local NM films for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather, uncle, brother and friend. He will truly be missed. Mr. Garcia is survived by his children, Aaron Garcia and companion Marilyn, Nicole Garcia and companion Manuel and Amy Garcia and companion Adderson; brothers, Phil Garcia and Ann and Oliver Garcia and Sherry; grandchildren, Dennis, Anthony, Ashley, Lily, Isabella, and Stella and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and his beloved dog, Cruzer. A memorial will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Church in Española. A private burial will be held. Honorary pallbearers will be, Aaron Garcia, Dennis Maldonado, Manuel Maldonado, Phillip “Nars” Martinez and Jacob Torres. The family of Floyd “Pink Floyd” Garcia has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
