Floyd Atencio

Floyd A. Atencio , 43, a resident of Fairview, NM went to be with the Lord on August 06, 2018.  Floyd was born August 15, 1974 in Leadville, Colorado.  Floyd served in the United States Army from 1996 to 2002.  He enjoyed spending time with his beloved children, Nascar, camping, fishing and working on his automobiles.  Floyd was preceded in death by his grandparents Anastacio and Bersabe Atencio and Abel and Isabella Herrera.  Floyd is survived by his parents Gabriel Sr. and Tessie Atencio of Fairview; his three children Floyd Jr, Alicia and Elena Atencio of Albuquerque; brothers Gabriel (Roberta) Atencio of Rio Rancho and Roger Atencio of Chaparral, NM; a sister Debbie Hoppe and spouse of Avon, Colorado; Nephews Brandon Atencio of Las Cruces and Gabriel III Atencio of Rio Rancho; Nieces Natalia Atencio of Albuquerque, Angelica Casados of Espanola, Gabriella and Veronica Atencio of Rio Rancho; a great-niece and nephew Jasmine and Edward Casados of Espanola; one uncle Eugene Atencio of Rio Rancho; Aunts Julie DeMoss of Mayer, Arizona and Erlinda (Diego) Pacheco of Ogden, Utah and other numerous relatives and friends. Interment will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018 at 2:15 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. The family of Floyd A. Atencio has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
