Florian "Sonny" Jr. - Age 68 - Cham Gonzales

Florian “Sonny” Gonzales, Jr., 68, a resident of Chama, NM passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 28, 2011. Florian’s family was his first priority. He was married to his loving wife Carmen for 45 years. Victoria was his only daughter and took pride in “Daddy’s Little Girl,” but also was very proud of his sons & grandchildren. His main focus was their well-being. Florian was a truck driver for over 45 years prior to retiring. He kept himself busy working on his numerous dreams. He tended to his ranch diligently and made sure that all was taken care of. He was a man of perfection & devoted his life to the Lord. We will dearly miss him. Florian was preceded in death by his parents, Florian Sr. and Consuelo T. Gonzales. He is survived by his wife Carmen Gonzales; daughter, Victoria Gonzales; sons: Randy Gonzales and wife JoLouisa all of Chama, Amos Gonzales and wife Aimee of Albuquerque, Andres Gonzales of Bloomfield, NM; sister, Rosalie Valdez and husband Larry of Tierra Azul; grandchildren: Brandon, Dakotah Gonzales of Chama, Ariana, Alijah and Aiden Gonzales of Albuquerque; niece/nephew: Christopher and Alyssa Valdez of Tierra Azul; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at The Chama Valley Worship Center with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 p.m. at the Assemblies of God Tabernacle. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Assemblies of God Tabernacle in Chama with burial to follow at Gonzales Family Ranch with the following serving as pallbearers: Sam and Buddy Gonzales, Pedro Torrez, Reyes Sam Torrez. Larry Valdez and Lee Archuleta; honorary pallbearers: David Felix Torrez, Donald Gallegos Sr., Brandon Gonzales, Christopher Valdez, Dakotah, Alijah and Aiden Gonzales.
