Filia M. Duran

Filia M. Duran, 86, born on August 6, 1936, passed away on March 9, 2023.

She is preceded in death by her husband Lucas Duran; parents Valentin R. Valdez and Eva O. Valdez; sister Maria Espinoza; brothers Benito Valdez, Antonio Valdez and Michael Valdez; granddaughter Stephanie Rodriguez; brother-in-law’s Andres Sanchez, Luben Espinoza, Jose Lujan and sister-in-law Grace Valdez.

She is survived by her daughters Doretta Rodriguez and Roberta Duran-Koelfgen (Todd); sisters Corine Ortiz (Jose Ramon), Mela Sanchez; Ermalinda Lujan and Gregoria Tafoya (JoJoe), Tessie Valdez, Teri Valdez;

Grandchildren Robert Rodriguez, Priscilla Giguere (Keith), Cody Schroder (Nicole) and Ananda Koelfgen; great grandchildren Stephanie Giguere-Kinster (Danny), Adrianna Rodriguez (fiancé Bao Pham), Andres Rodriguez, Jagger Giguere, Reyes Rodriguez, Nathan Rodriguez, Wyatt Schroder and Luke Schroder; great great grandchild Aubrey Faith Kinstler, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Rest in Peace our beloved mother, wife, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. Make sure you feed everyone in heaven with your beautiful growing garden and special salsa.  Until we meet again.  Thank you for being in our lives.

Rosary will be held on Thursday March 23, 2023 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church in Nambe, NM. Mass will follow at 10:00 am. Burial will follow.
