Filbert Matthew Age - 28 - Chimayo DeAguero

Filbert Matthew DeAguero, 28, a resident of Chimayo passed away after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, January 15, 2013. Filbert was a very intelligent, loving young man who set very high goals for himself. He enjoyed art, skiing, singing, music, traveling and outdoors. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gabriel and Benigna DeAguero; maternal grandparents, Alberto and Rosita DeHerrera; aunt, Bernie Garcia; uncles: Genaro Rodriguez, Romolo DeHerrera and Raymond Wheeler; cousins: Delfido and Martin Garcia, Stephanie Padilla, Patrick Chavez Sr., Juan Sanchez, Anthony and Thomas Rodriguez, Joey DeHerrera and Angelica Baca. Filbert is survived by his parents, Arsenio and Joann DeAguero; brothers/sisters: Archie and Dusty DeAguero, Sandra DeAguero, Rick and Balarie DeAguero, Angela Moret, James and Immelda DeAguero and David DeAguero; uncles/aunts: Chris and Erlinda Martinez, Abel Garcia, Irene and Eddie Vigil, Lydia Wheeler, Rosita Cruz DeHerrera, David and Marie DeHerrera, Pete and Roberta DeHerrera, Linda and Paul Chavez, Cordie and Adonaldo Herrera, June Galvan and Gilbert; very special cousins: Brenda and Darryl Abeyta; loving nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives & friends. Rosary will be recited on Friday, January 18, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with burial to follow at Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery with the follow serving the family as pallbearers: Gino Pacheco, Gabriel Gallegos, Patrick Chavez Jr., Juan Martinez, Chris Martinez Jr. and Adrian DeHerrera; honorary pallbearers are all his brothers & sisters. The family of Filbert Matthew DeAguero have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
