Fidelia Age - 81 - Española Duran Rodriguez

Fidelia Duran Rodriguez, 81, a resident of Española passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2012. She loved the beautiful flowers in her garden; her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Rico her grandson took great care of her in her later years. She loved her Lord & Savior and enjoyed all the time spent in fellowship and prayer, especially at Glorieta Conference Center, Fidelia attended McCurdy School as a girl and was very proud of that. She knew her Bible intimately and all the nursery rhymes as well. She loved to spend time outdoors. Fidelia was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Rodriguez; parents, Benito and Juanita Duran; in-laws, Frank and Debari Rodriguez; brothers: Samuel, Manuel and Jose C. Duran. Fidelia is survived by her husband, Eugenio C. Rodriguez; daughters: Ruby Medina and husband Dale and Rebecca Duran; son, Henry and wife Frances all of Fairview; grandchildren: Melissa Dunlap and husband Larry of Mississippi, Jennifer Espinoza and husband James of Chimayo, Adrian Duran of Fairview, Deanna Mangum of Las Vegas, NV, Desirae Medina and Ty Lujan of Alcalde, Deondra Rodriguez and David Maes of Fairview, Gina Williams and husband Derell of Albuquerque, Raquel Rodriguez of Dallas, TX, Alfred Duran of Fairview, Joseph and Matthew Medina of Fairview, Rico Rodriguez of Fairview; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Benjie Duran and companion Cynthia Maestas of El Llano; sister, Clara Martinez of Chimayo; son-in-law, Freddie Duran of Española. Public visitation will begin on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at El Buen Pastor Church in Ranchitos with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. also at El Buen Pastor Church in Ranchitos. Burial to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: grandsons – Adrian and Alfred Duran, Joseph and Matthew Medina, Rico Rodriguez, great-grandson – James Espinoza. The family of Fidelia Duran Rodriguez has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
