Felonis Ortega

FELONIS ORTEGA, 94, a resident of Llano de San Juan, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcos and Petrita C. Esquibel; sister, Florida Lujan and brother, Santiago Esquibel. Felonis was known for her kind heart and generosity. Her faith was her foundation for the way she lived her life. She had a special way of touching the lives of others. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Ortega is survived by her husband, Rodolpho Ortega of Llano de San Juan; children, Julia Ortega of Llano de San Juan, Betty Romero and husband Noberto of Cordova, Erlinda Romero and husband Vianes of Leadville, CO, Gilbert Ortega and wife Mary, Virginia Vigil, Joe Ortega and wife Inez all of Llano de San Juan; raised as a son, JR Lujan and wife Terry of Leadville, CO; grandchildren, Ivan and Andrew Aguilar, Joey, Marvin and Billy Romero, Reyna and Jimmy Romero, Loretta Rodarte, Brian Ortega, Wesley Vigil, Crystal Vigil, Marie, Kimberly and Jerome Ortega, Teddy, Timmy and Nicolas Lujan and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers and nurses at the Taos Living Center. The family of Felonis Ortega has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
