Felix Romero

Felix Elifar Romero, was born in Embudo, NM on June 22, 1948 to George and Oralia Romero of El Valle, NM. Felix was one of five children that grew up in El Valle.  He passed away on August 6, 2019 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque at the age of 71.  He was a long-term resident of Belen.

He served in the Army from 1968 to 1974 during the Vietnam War.  He was awarded The National Defense Service Medal.

Felix was an avid hunter, enjoyed the outdoors and loved all sports.  He is survived by his children, Michael Romero, Gina Hernandez, Felix Romero Jr and Victoria Romero; siblings, Elmer, Juanita and George.  Grandchildren; Joseph, Natasha, Keoma, Adrian and Erika.  He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and lots of friends.  He was preceded in death by his beloved parents George and Oralia Romero and brother, Raymond Romero.

A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory in Espanola, with a Memorial Mass to follow at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
