Fela Sanchez

FELA B. SANCHEZ, 68, a resident of Alcalde, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 following a brief battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leo S. Sanchez; parents, Fred and Frutosa Dupre; and brother, Fred Dupre, Jr. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her loving family, Monica Sanchez, Joey Sanchez (Crystal) and cherished grandchildren, Jeremiah and Samantha Sanchez. She was a cherished mother, grandmother who will be missed dearly and forever remembered. Many were blessed to have known her kindness, loving heart, comforting warmth and willingness to listen unconditionally. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren. She also leaves behind family members, Stephanie Sanchez and Willie Dupre and many aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Alcalde Catholic Cemetery with her grandchildren serving as pallbearers, Jeremiah and Samantha Sanchez. The family of Fela B. Sanchez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
