Evelyn Martinez

EVELYN ANN MARTINEZ, 71, a resident of Espanola passed away on Thursday April 18, 2019 of a lengthy illness surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hipolito and Sarah Gallegos; daughter, Annette Martinez, son, Isaac Martinez; ex-husband, Tommy Martinez; granddaughter, Jennifer Martinez, and great-granddaughter, Sarah Vasquez. Evelyn loved being outdoors, she loved gardening, her pets her cat and her parrot.  She was artistic who loved to embroider.  She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughters, Pauline Martinez and husband Matthew LeDoux, Theresa Garcia and husband Ralph Garcia, Greda Gonzales and husband Johnny Jaramillo; sisters, Mary Lopez, Gloria Garcia and husband Gilbert, and Judy Gallegos, brothers, Ernie Gallegos, Glen Gallegos and companion Dolores and Ruben Gallegos and companion Rex Swanda; 9 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.   A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, with a Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Shaun Gallegos, Ralph Garcia, Louiz Garcia, Manuel Garcia, Cypress Garcia and Cyress Garcia.
