Evanglina Serrano Archuleta

EVANGLINA (EVA) SERRANO ARCHULETA, 66, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016. She was preceded in death by her father, Seferino Serrano, mother, Marcelina Serrano; son, Elvin Trujillo, daughters, Stephanie Trujillo, Celeste Maestas; brother, Seferino Serrano Jr.; grandsons, Daniel Trujillo, Glen Trujillo; niece, Angel Morfin; nephews, Tommy and Benito Serrano.  Eva loved to be in the outdoors, camping, fishing or just going for long drives. She loved to be around children especially her great-grandchildren, she was a loving caring person who loved to be around family. Her smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by many. Evanglina is survived by her loving partner, Dennis Maestas;  children, Joyce Marquez, Denis Serrano, Andrew Trujillo, Emily Trujillo, Michael Barela (Loreen), Gloria Trujillo, Max Barela (Kay); grandchildren, Ericka Marquez (Stephen Marquez), Johnathan Barela (Amanda Sandoval), DJ Serrano, Andrew Jr, Charles, Heather, Anthony, Dale Trujillo, Alex Montoya, and many other great-grandchildren; sisters, Ella Serrano Lujan, Jane Ortiz, (Armando), Susie Aveldano (Manuel), Linda Serrano, Annie Jaramillo (Joel), Yvonne Serrano, and Thelma Montoya Serrano. Public visitation will begin on Monday, September 5, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers DJ Serrano, Charles Trujillo, Austin Serrano, Dale Trujillo, John Barela, Anthony Trujillo, Stephan Gregory, and Stevan Serrano, honorary pallbearers, Ericka Marquez Gloria Trujillo, Denise Serrano, and Max Barela.
