Eva - Age 94 - Arroyo de Agua - Gallegos

EVA GALLEGOS, 94, a resident of Arroyo de Agua, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 25, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anastacio Gallegos; parents, Venceslao and Rosita Velasquez; sons, Alex and Joe Gallegos; raised as a daughter, Beverly Martinez; siblings, Magdalena Olivas, Joe Ortega, Levi Ortega and Mike Ortega. Eva was a hard working lady who loved to cook for her family and friends. She loved to visit with friend and family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children; Anastacio Gallegos, Jr. of Arroyo de Agua, Fernando Gallegos of Utah, Arcelia Valdez of Arroyo de Agua, Leonilla Serrano and Maria Quarnberg both of Utah; brothers, Tony Velasquez of Mesa de Poleo and Ben Velasquez of Delta, CO; very close and special grandson Arnold Gallegos; close nephew, Rudy Velasquez and wife Antonia of Mesa de Poleo; 24 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the San Juan de Bautista Catholic Church in Coyote, with a rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. at the San Juan de Bautista Church, with a burial to follow at the Coyote Cemetery. The following serving as pallbearers, Salomon Martinez, Larry Martinez, Jr., Arnold Gallegos, Billy Morfin, Matthew Gallegos and Abel Valdez. Honorary pallbearers named are her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. The family of Eva Gallegos has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
