Eugene Luis Villalobos

Eugene Gene Luis Villalobos “Guero”, 54, a resident of Espanola, passed away at his home on Saturday, April 11, 2015 after his courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Villalobos, mother, Juanita Gomez; step-father who raised him, Miguel Gomez; brothers, Salvador and Floyd Villalobos. Gene was a very loving and caring unique individual who had a heart of gold. He enjoyed fishing the Rio Grande in Pilar and picnicking with his family and friends and was always joking around. Gene was a residential painter for many years and a jack-of-all trades always willing to help others. Gene is survived by his wife, Debbie; son, Francisco, daughters, Jenny Solvesky and husband John, Angel Hernandez; step-daughters, Natasha and Beth; brother, Jimmy Gurule and wife Mela, sisters, Alice Abeyta and husband Rudy, Sandra Maldonado and husband Zenaido, Isabel Rodriguez and husband Larry; sister-in-law, Mary Villalobos, brother-in-law, Melchor Hernandez; grandchildren, Waverly, Maddely, Risto, Sabrina and Brooke; nieces and nephews, Carla, Niomie, James, Rudy Jr., Lenora, LyAnn, Alexander, Donovan, Monte, Jacobo and Armando, and many loving and caring friends along with numerous relatives who will miss him dearly. Services are pending at this time, and will be posted as soon as they become available.
