Eufelia Maria - Age 83 - Albuquerque Martinez

EUFELIA MARIA MARTINEZ, 83, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Born January 25, 1928 in Velarde to Lucas and Margarita Martinez, Eufelia touched many people’s lives and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, dancing, traveling, going to the casino and watching her Novellas nightly. Eufelia is survived by her daughter, Julie Berry and husband Louis; grandsons, Louis Berry Jr. and wife Lori, Kevin Berry and wife Victoria; granddaughter, Jacqueline Martinez; Sylvia Roybal (who was like a daughter to Eufelia) and husband Orlando; brother, Joe G. Martinez, brother, Arthur Martinez and wife Dolores and sister-in-law, Cruzita Martinez and many beloved nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Eufelia was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Martinez; son, Jimmy Martinez; daughter, Juanita Martinez; parents, Lucas and Margarita Martinez; sisters, Adelia Martinez and Rebecca Silva; brothers, Felipe and Reuben Martinez; brother-in-law, Escolastico Martinez; sisters-in-law, Dolores Martinez, Berlinda Martinez and Amada Martinez and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to follow at La Puebla Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Louis and Kevin Berry, Lucas Roybal, Gilbert, James and Michael Martinez. Honorary pallbearers named are: Louis Berry Jr., Lori Berry, Kevin Berry, Victoria Montoya and Jackie Martinez. The family of Eufelia Maria Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
