Eufelia Martinez

Eufelia (Faye) B. Martinez went to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 2, 2016. She was born on July 29. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Rufinita and Pedro Bustos and Margarita and Amarante Martinez; sisters, Aurelia, Belen, Tessie, Edulia; sisters in law, Tillie, Mele, Apolonia and Pomosena; brother in law, Johnny; grandson, Christopher Martinez and the love of her life Waldo Martinez. She is survived by her children, Dorothy (Lynn) Donaldson, Wally (Jo) Martinez, Don (LaVern) Martinez, Liz (Benny) Garcia, and Jeannie (Jerry) Abeyta. Faye was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Catherine Noble and Barbie Ortega, as well as numerous other loving relatives and friends. Faye was also blessed to have a special care-giver and friend, Ruby Valdez for the last seven months of her life and more recently Amber care/Hospice of Española. Faye was a faithful parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh for over 70 years. She sang and played her accordion in many choirs thought the years. She was blessed with many friends in her beloved church. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. also at San Juan Bautista Catholic Church with burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
