ESTHER GURULE, 89, left this earth on Friday, February 5, 2016. She will reunite in the spiritual world with her husband, Sabiniano Gurule; sons, Ronnie, Kelly, and Emery Gurule; parents, Celestino and Lucia C. Martinez; sister, Juanita Martinez; brother, Albert Martinez; her mother-in-law, Carmelita Gurule, and many relatives and friends.
Her surviving family will wait on earth until she can meet again with her sons, Lester Gurule and his family, Dale Gurule and his family, Lloyd Gurule and his family; daughters, Nora Bailey and her family, Shirley Manzanares and her family, Cindy Gurule and her family, Lora Lamas and her family; brother, Rudy Martinez and his family; sisters, Vickie Bauer and her family, Anna Sanchez and her family, May Romero and her family; and many other family members and friends.
Esther gave birth to ten children, was a grandmother of four generations, had a hip mind while always being a straight arrow, she had an amusing personality, a sincere caring heart, and a God-loving soul. She will be missed daily by her family and the many people who love her.
The Family of Esther Gurule would like to thank God in Heaven for letting us have her for eighty-nine years, Ambercare and Addus Health Care (Stella) for the many years of service and caring. A devotional service will take place on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial of the remains of Esther and Sabiniano Gurule will take place in the Spring of 2016 in Vallecitos, NM date and time to be announced. Family and friends are invited to join the family in a pre-service luncheon at the Eagles Hall, at 18996 US 285 in Espanola on Monday February 8th, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. The family of Esther Gurule has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
