ERNESTO “ERNIE” GONZALES, 79, a resident of Alcalde, passed away on Tuesday, May 09, 2017. Ernie was preceded in death by his wife, Juliet Gonzales; parents, Rebecca and Antonio Gonzales; and sister, Carmen Brooks. He was the proud owner of Fine Graphics in Española for 40 years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A special thanks to his coffee buddies at McDonalds for giving him a reason to get up every morning, and also to the staff members at the Fresenius Dialysis Center in Española for being so supportive.  He is survived by his daughters, Socorro Lee (Cora) Gonzales and companion Cecil Gabaldon, Ernestine and husband Martin Marioni; brother, Tony and companion Carol, sisters, Ramona, Pimie and Rosie; grandchildren, Annamaria Rios, Martin Jr. and Ricardo Marioni, Tiffany and Brandon Martinez; great-grandchildren, Elena and Enrique Marioni, Annalisa and Antonio Marioni, Roberto Jr., Ernesto and Aryana Rios. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde. Burial will be held at a later date.
