ERNEST E. KAYE, 58, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011. He was born on September 3, 1952 to Edwin and Francis Kaye. He attended Española Valley High School and played baseball for the Hornets as well as for the San Juan Bats. He was an avid sports fan, supporting the Dallas Cowboys and the Boston Celtics and enjoyed hanging out with his family and friends. Mr. Kaye is survived by his sons, Ernest and Evan Kaye of Ohkay Owingeh; sisters, Mary, Marcie and Geraldine; brother, Vernon and aunt, Tonita Vigil; grandchildren, Victoria, Nicholas, Danielle, Ashlynn and Adriana and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Kaye Residence in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, April 8, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Catholic Cemetery.
