ERNEST J.P. APODACA, 82, a resident of Fairview, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2015 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Rosa Apodaca; daughter, Gloria Stuart; brother, Juan Luis and sister, Juanita Apodaca. Ernest was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean War and served his country with honors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. Mr. Apodaca is survived by his wife of 42 years, Beatrice Apodaca; children, Paul Apodaca and wife Victoria, Jesse Apodaca and wife Sandra, Jimmy Apodaca and companion Delilah, Angela Cordova and husband Raynaldo, Loyola Montoya, Lydia Diaz Apodaca, Carmella Lucero and Angela Medina; brothers, Jose Apodaca and wife Connie, Tom Apodaca and wife Lourdes, Patrick Apodaca and wife Dorella; sister, Rosemary Bair; special grandson who was raised as a son, Jeremy Apodaca; uncle and aunt, Manuel and Maria Herrera; sister-in-law’s, Dilia Romero, Toni Sisneros and husband Arturo and Clara Briggs and husband Duane; 27 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family of Ernest J.P.
