Eric Age - 26 - Albuquerque/Alcalde Martinez

ERIC MARTINEZ, 26, a resident of Albuquerque and originally of Alcalde, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013. Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Juan Martinez, paternal grandfather Ubaldo Romero, Paternal uncle Miguelito Romero, Maternal uncle Steve Martinez, great-grandfather Dennis Vigil, great-grandfather Alfredo and Benita Martinez, Juan and Cerilo Lucero, and Paternal grandmother Barbara Romero, great-grandchildren Santos and Maria Martinez. Eric loved his sweets “Giant Sweets!” He was always smiling, had a kind and great big heart. He was the type of person who would go out of his way to help anyone. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace. Eric is survived by his children, Angela Martinez of Albuquerque; father, Richard Romero and wife Debra Vigil of Bernalillo; mother, Debra Martinez of Alcalde; mother of his children, Victoria Jimenez of Albuquerque; brothers and sisters, Timmy Martinez of Alcalde, Melonie Martinez of Albuquerque, Juan Antonio Martinez of Alcalde, Mariah Romero and Angelica Romero of Bernalillo; grandmother, Diane Martinez and companion Freddy Dupree of Alcalde; uncle and aunts, Roger Romero, Yvette Romero, Karleen Campos, Audrey Martinez, and Johnny Martinez and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial to be recited at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow at La Villita Catholic Cemetery with the following will serving as pallbearers, Marcos Martinez, David Campos, Johnny Martinez, Wesley Martinez, Roger Romero and Sergio Baca. Honorary pallbearers are Victor Perez, Roger Vigil, Ricky Vigil, Serena Martinez, Eugene Martinez, Ivan Maestas, Ray Valdez, Anthony Vigil, Jolene Campos, and Francisco Salazar. The family would appreciate any donations to help them with funeral expenses and we here at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory are doing our part to help the family defray cost.
