Eric Montoya

Eric John Montoya, 35, a resident of Aurora, CO. Passed away on Saturday April 23, 2016 surrounded by his family. Eric was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Antonia & Horacio Montoya Sr., Uncle John Montoya, Great grandparents Max & Georgia Vigil Sr., Avelino & Pablita Moya, and Godmother Flora Rocha. Eric enjoyed music, baking, and the outdoors. Eric was a giving person who donated his organs to others so that they may live. Eric is survived by his mother Theresa Montoya; father, Valentito Montoya and wife Maria; brothers Jesse (Tamara), Max (Kishah); sisters Renee Valdez, Mary Frances, & Christine; Grandparents Max & Frances Vigil Jr.; Aunts Freida (George), Maxine ( Wallace), Nancy, Nora, Margie & Families; uncles Micheal (Mabel), Raymond( Teresa), Andy, Horacio Montoya Jr (Bernadette); numerous other family members and friends; special nieces Kaylynn & Naevia Villa. A rosary will be recited on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Española.  Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers, Seth, Mary Frances, Andy, Micheal, Raymond, and Wallace, honorary pallbearers are, Eric’s special nieces Kaylynn & Naevia Villa, & his cousins.
