Ercilia M. Age - 73 - Los Ojos Mercure

Ercilia M. Mercure, 73, a resident of Los Ojos was called home into the arms of our Lord on Thursday, February 14, 2013. Ercilia loved working with children and devoted her spare time as a foster grandparent, with the Chama Valley Schools. She loved to cook for her family and spending time at the casinos. She left beautiful memories that will be cherished forever. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Ercilia was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Floripe Mercure; niece, Jane Gallegos; nephew, VR Martinez. Ercilia is survived by her brothers: Oniel Mercure, Mike Mercure and wife Annie, Vicente Mercure and wife Baudelia, Delfin Mercure and wife Sylvia, Bobby Mercure; sisters: Aurelia Gallegos and husband Ralph, Crisanta Martinez and husband Virgino, Virginia Mercure; raised as her own children: Edward and Mia Mercure; godmother, Irene Mercure; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at the San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos with a rosary to follow at 6:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos with burial to follow at Los Ojos Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Eugene, Edward, Jesus, Vicente E. and Oniel Mercure Jr., Eliseo Gallegos and Manuel Mercure. The family of Ercilia M. Mercure have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
