Epimenia L. Medina, 87, a resident of La Villita passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Bonefacia Lopez; brothers/sisters: Santiago Lopez, Tobias Lopez, Belen LeDoux and husband Abe, Liborio Lopez Sr., Flora Viarreal and husband Ben, Clara Saiz, Mary Lopez; great grandson, Christopher Romero; infant daughter, Mary Medina; special son-in-law, Leon Guerin. Epimenia was born to Juan and Bonefacia Lopez on August 25, 1925. She was married to Teofilio Medina, Jr. on May 22, 1948 the love of her life for 64 years. Epimenia is survived by her daughters: Patricia Sanchez, Mary Ann Romero and husband Nick, Joyce Guerin; half sisters: Juanita Martinez and Rosita Esquibel; grandchildren: Casildo Romero and wife Dani, Roberto Romero and wife Liaka, Camilla Romero, Martina Padilla and husband Tommy, Teofilo Guerin and wife Jacquelynn, Juan Marcos Guerin and companion Brandy, Julian Sanchez and wife Kimberly; great-grandchildren: Alexandria, Casildo Jr., Brandon, Juan Carlos, Roberto Jr., Marina, Aleyana, Natalia, Mirabella, Daylen, Leandro and Jeremiah; her special partner, JR her little Chihuahua; brothers-in-law: Johnny Medina and wife Cora, Art Saiz; sisters-in-law: Peggy Sanchez and Pauline Lopez; numerous other loving nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends that were very special to her. Public visitation will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will he held on Monday, April 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to follow at La Villita Cemetery with the following serving the family as pallbearers: Casildo and Roberto Romero, Teofilo and JuanMarcos Guerin, Julian Sanchez and Tommy Padilla.
